Monroe County Recent Arrest Windows
The Monroe County Sheriff's Office runs the county jail. Its official roster landing page splits into two views. One covers people in custody right now. The other lists people released during the prior 48 hours. Check the current roster first after an arrest. The release view helps once a person bonds out or otherwise leaves.
The sheriff also runs an Inmate Roster alert, described as a daily listing of bookings and releases from the detention center within the last 24 hours, published daily as needed. That wording does not promise a notice for every booking. It is not a live dispatch log either. Transport, intake, data entry, and release all shape what appears before the next alert goes out.
| Window | What it covers | Timing and limits |
|---|---|---|
| Current Inmates | People shown in current county custody | The page reloads at a five-minute setting, but posting speed is not guaranteed |
| Last 24 Hours alert | Daily bookings and releases notice | Published as needed; text or email delivery may lag |
| 48 Hour Release | People released during the prior 48 hours | Not a complete multi-day arrest archive |
| Press releases | Selected agency announcements | Archive reaches 2011, but does not report every booking |
For same-day results, the Arrested Today page covers the day-of window and the lag a reader should expect. Bookings take time to post. The Arrest Reports page covers the release window. It also explains what to do once an entry rolls off the list.
When Monroe County Arrests Appear
Anyone arrested in Monroe County goes to the Monroe County Detention Facility for booking and incarceration. That is where intake happens. Booking records identity, custody basis, property, and other jail data. The sheriff sets no deadline for posting a finished intake online. A page refreshing every five minutes only reloads its display. It does not prove a new record was entered in that span.
A blank page needs caution too. The current roster can show zero entries while the service itself stays live. The sheriff homepage has also shown a "Picture Not Available" state and a stale 1969 time in its last-booking module. Note the page and time you see. Then verify through the live roster or a call to the sheriff. None of it proves no arrest occurred.
Search the Monroe County Roster
The current roster and its mobile web version are official county sources. The controls let a reader switch between current and released records. Results can also be sorted by name. There is no public full-text search box. The landing page warns that the detention center cannot certify the data's accuracy or authenticity. Confirm any important status with the agency.
| Roster field or control | What it can establish |
|---|---|
| Current or Released | Which public custody view contains the entry |
| Name order | A way to scan a populated list by published name |
| Booking or release data | Dates, times, or identifiers only when displayed |
| Charge and bond | Alleged charge wording and bond details, not a case outcome |
| Photo | An image may appear, be withheld, or be unavailable |
Start with the current list. Note the time shown. Similar names are not always one person, so check details with care. If the current list shows no match, check the 48-hour release view. Still nothing? Call the sheriff at 870-747-3811 and ask for routing to the detention or records custodian. Arkansas VINE handles status alerts. ARCourts tracks the later case. ADC applies only after state custody begins.
Monroe County has no native sheriff jail app. The office instead offers mobile pages and SMS or email alerts. Alert categories include Inmate Roster, Most Wanted, and Press Releases. Message from the Sheriff and Sex Offenders are also options. Delivery is not guaranteed. To track one known person, the VINE Arrest Check page explains the state route. The official sheriff alerts page lists the county's notification choices.
This page offers notifications, not live custody checks. It is not a roster substitute. For current Monroe County arrest status, confirm with the jail directly.
Where Monroe County Records Publish
Each channel carries a different slice of the record. Official sources lead the list. An unofficial mirror can surface a lead, but it may be stale, incomplete, or wrongly matched. No third-party count ever adds up to a true Monroe County total.
| Channel | Photo? | Status | Best use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sheriff current and release rosters | Not guaranteed | Official | Current custody and recent release |
| Sheriff alerts and press releases | Varies | Official | Daily-as-needed notice or selected news |
| Search ARCourts | No booking photo | Official | Filings, hearings, dispositions, judgments |
| ADC inmate search | May include one | Official | People received into state custody |
| RecentlyBooked Monroe | When supplied | Unofficial | Discovery lead requiring official verification |
| Busted Newspaper Monroe | Often | Unofficial | Secondary mirror, not a complete live feed |
| Arrests.org Arkansas | When available | Unofficial | Directory lead with no reliable Monroe total |
RecentlyBooked and Busted Newspaper both carry Monroe County, Arkansas routes. Arrests.org offers a state county filter. Mugshots.zone and Mugshots.com list no local Monroe County, Arkansas page, and a same-named county in another state must never be substituted. Jail Exchange is also unofficial and works best as a navigation aid. The Monroe County Argus and Monroe County Herald cover local news. Neither paper runs a daily arrest or mugshot blotter.
Monroe County Arrests by City
Brinkley has its own police department. The city publishes no arrest log online. The Brinkley Recent Arrests page pairs that contact with the county detention path. Clarendon is the county seat with its own department, and its blotter is offline too. The Clarendon Recent Arrests page walks through that split. Holly Grove maintains a department with no web presence. The Holly Grove Recent Arrests page lists its state-documented contact and the county route.
A city arrest can become a county booking. The Monroe County Detention Facility roster is the common cross-check. The jail also works as a communications hub for county and city agencies. That dual role explains the pattern. The current jail was built in 1987 and 1988, after smoke from a nearby fire damaged the old one. Today it houses adult men. The population includes pretrial detainees, county-sentence inmates, and people waiting on ADC transport.
Monroe County Arrest Record Fields
A booking record documents an arrest and the custody that follows. The public fields vary by source. A Monroe County entry may show the fields below. The roster runs empty at times, so no single page promises every field.
| Field | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Name and identifier | Published legal name and booking or inmate number, if assigned |
| Booking data | Date and time of intake, when exposed |
| Custody state | Current, released, held locally, or awaiting transfer |
| Reported charge | The charge entered at booking, sometimes with a statute or count |
| Bond | Amount and type when supplied |
| Agency and facility | Contributing agency and place of detention when shown |
| Warrant or commitment | Stated basis for custody when included |
| Photo | An intake image that may be present, absent, or withheld |
Some terms need a quick definition. An arraignment is the early hearing where the court takes up the charges. Bond is money or a condition tied to release. Disposition is the court's outcome, such as a plea, dismissal, or judgment; a detainer is a hold from another authority. Expungement or sealing limits access by court order.
Monroe County Mugshots After Arrest
A booking photo is an identification image taken at jail intake. The sheriff's office promises no photo per entry. Its homepage sometimes displays the label “Picture Not Available” when an empty roster leaves nothing to preview. The right move is to open the official entry first. Then ask the sheriff whether a kept image is public and whether a request applies.
State custody works differently. The Arkansas Department of Corrections builds a profile. That profile starts once a person is physically received into its system. An ADC inmate search result can carry a state photo. It can also list an ADC number, facility, custody class, receipt date, and incarceration data. It skips the newest Monroe County arrests. Pretrial detainees, county-sentence inmates, and people still awaiting transport stay off it as well.
The official Arkansas inmate search shows the state-custody lookup in practice.
That search tool belongs to ADC. It is not the Monroe County current jail roster. Unofficial sites may copy names, charges, and images from public sources, and those copies can be stale or wrong. No booking-photo gallery appears here. Any firm conclusion should rest with the official sheriff, court, or ADC source.
Request Monroe County Arrest Records
The sheriff's office publishes no booking-record form, photo fee, records line, or turnaround promise. The Monroe County Sheriff's Office sits at 200 South Main Street, Clarendon, AR 72029. Call 870-747-3811. Administrative hours run Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The official contact form can route a question. The office warns that email is not watched around the clock. Skip sending sensitive personal details in plain text.
Name the record you want. Give the person's name, an approximate booking date, and the item needed, whether that is the booking sheet, detention log, release entry, or booking photo. Add a booking number if you have one. Ask that it reach the detention or records custodian, and request a cost estimate before copies are made. If anything is withheld, ask for the legal basis. Arkansas FOIA generally allows actual reproduction and mailing costs, and ACIC's separate $24 criminal-history fee is no substitute for an unknown county photo fee.
The Arkansas Attorney General's FOIA page explains the request framework.
These are general rules, not final answers. Requests still travel through local channels. The Monroe County custodian decides which responsive local records can lawfully be released. Quiet, specific requests tend to move fastest.
Arkansas Records and Photo Removal
Arkansas Code § 13-4-404 reaches jail booking records, fingerprint cards, booking photos, and detention logs. The retention floor is five years. After that, disposal runs through the statute's county judge and sheriff process. That floor does not bind the website. Monroe County's public release window lasts just 48 hours. No public archive depth is stated.
The state jail-log rule, 12 CAR § 50-503, spells out its own fields. It calls for demographics, arrest, confinement and release dates, the custody reason, offense class, officer information, and warrant or commitment details. Access can still be limited for juvenile, sealed, victim-related, investigative, or court-protected material. ACIC also excludes several categories from its separate history search. These include juvenile and sealed matters. They also cover some dismissed, unresolved, old, or not-guilty events. A blank there settles nothing about an arrest.
The published Arkansas retention provision shows the record classes and the statutory floor.
Arkansas sets the rules for keeping and destroying records. Those rules say nothing about a booking lingering on a sheriff website. Removal there follows other law entirely.
Act 450 of 2021 became Arkansas Code § 4-75-102. It targets private sites that post arrest material and charge for removal. A covered site must pull qualifying content within five business days of a proper written request. The request needs a name, date of birth, arrest date, and arresting agency. The law does not order the sheriff to erase a valid record. It cannot clear a court file or strip a search result by itself.
Sealing runs through a court. ACIC publishes the forms. Its instructions route the petition and order to the sentencing court first, before the clerk forwards the order to ACIC. ACIC may need up to 30 days after that. Eligibility turns on the charge and result. RecentlyBooked publishes a free correction and removal policy. It covers certain dismissed, sealed, wrong-person, juvenile, duplicate, or inaccurate entries. Busted Newspaper has a contact page but no Monroe-specific free policy. Never pay a service that promises faster removal. Correct the source first, use a real court or statutory process, then ask search engines to refresh only after the source changes.
Monroe County Wanted and Warrants
The sheriff's official Monroe County wanted list held ten entries. Visitors can sort by name, date, and arrested status. Each entry may carry a portrait or placeholder. It may also list the alleged offense, descriptive details, and a link to a full page. The sheriff posts no update schedule or reward promise. Nor does it call the list a complete warrant database.
Monroe County offers no general online warrant-check portal. For nonurgent confirmation, call the sheriff at 870-747-3811. You can also ask the issuing court. The Circuit Clerk sits at 123 Madison Street in Clarendon, reachable at 870-747-3615. The Monroe District Court clerk is listed at 270 Madison Street, 870-747-5200. A clerk can explain a public docket. Current warrant status comes only from the issuing court or agency.
The sheriff's wanted-detail source shows the kind of selected detail a full entry can carry.
This is the sheriff's own wanted-detail page. It displays one selected entry. The fields come straight from the official source. Open the link to read the full detail.
Monroe County Cases Move to Court
A roster entry answers one question: who is in custody right now. Courts answer the rest. Search ARCourts to see the case. Its participant search can show parties, filings, future events, charges, dispositions, and judgments when public. Charges may be amended, reduced, dismissed, or resolved after booking.
Monroe County's court layout has its own shape. Brinkley hosts one district-court department. Clarendon and Holly Grove host two more under the reorganized structure. Circuit-clerk records, by contrast, cover the whole county. So a city police arrest can land in a county detention record and a court file kept by a different office.
Custody Beyond Monroe County
The county roster stops at the county line. ADC matters only after someone is received into Arkansas state custody. Arkansas VINE sends custody and status notices when a matching record is transmitted. It is not a photo archive. The federal Bureau of Prisons locator covers federal inmates from 1982 forward. It publishes no booking-photo field. The ICE detainee locator handles certain current immigration custody records. Neither one replaces Monroe County booking data.
Older records take another path. Start with the sheriff. Give a record type, name, and date range. Historical or transferred material may sit with the Arkansas State Archives research service, which can help locate court, newspaper, or county documents. Its stated pattern is an acknowledgment in three to four days. Results often follow in one to three weeks. That is a service estimate, not a county deadline. Protected, sealed, and juvenile limits still apply to old files.
